Embroidery hoop altered

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

We all love altered pretty projects especially when we have lots of floral elements and and die cuts. I have an altered hoop to share here today using papers, vellum and newly launched Nature's collection element sheet from Swati Craft corner. The new element sheet is just awesome since there are more than 270 elements and 8 sheets to work magic in my projects. The pattern paper I used is from Summer blooms and dot vellum sheet. I have texture stenciled background with some colours and script stamp. Then, I started adding all the elements together to make this hoop.

Snowdrops cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am really excited to share my second card project for this month as Guest designer for Varada Sharma. Today, I have two card from the new release – Fantastic florals. It has a great selection of floral images and work great to make cards. I am using Snowdrops for my cards today. This is a gorgeous floral design and I have two simple cards using this this floral image along with sentiments.

First card

I printed out the image and coloured using Polychromos pencils.

·         This card is pink shaded so I kept the florals pink as well.

·         I trimmed down the image and kept it aside and started getting the base of the card ready.

·         For the base, I used pink cardstock and layered with black cardstock.

·         I wanted the image to one side of the card and added a dot pattern paper.

·         I added the trimmed down image on top of the pattern paper and finished by adding a sentiment.

·         To embellish, I added some liquid pearls and dashes on black cardstock using silver gel pen.

Second card

·       I printed the image and coloured with mild green and mild yellow colour pencil.

·         I trimmed down the image and wanted a colourful background.

·         Using a pencil and scale, I drew some diagonal lines and then using a black marker highlighted those lines.

·         I used blue, violet and mild orange for the background and coloured them alternatively.

·         Using the same black marker, I added a border to the image.

·         Turning this into a card. I used yellow note card and layered with a stripped yellow pattern paper.

·        I added the image and a sentiment. To finish the card, liquid pearls and gemstones to four corners of the card.

Shaker card - Stampers Delights

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back here for Thrifty Thursday hosted by Stampers Delights and I am in love with this super cute image - Chibi Angel Globe. This is a super cute image and I made a shaker card using it.

Its a circle card and I love making circle cards these days especially turn them into shaker cards. After colouring the image, I fuzzy cut it and kept it aside. I made the card base ready and before adding the shaker elements, I  first added the image. I did not stick the image to the base but instead made it also float or shake along with the elements.

To finish the card, I added die cut leaves and flowers along with some liquid pearls. Finally I added a sentiment to finish the card.

Side step card & tag - Dinosaur party

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

We all know how ferocious and dangerous dinosaurs are since the time of Jurassic Park. But the stamps released by Tubby Craft are the cutest set of dinosaurs I have seen. The stamp set I have used today is Dinosaur and Friends

I have a super fun card and a very simple tag here. I tried to create a small scene here using stamps and die cuts. The best part about this stamp set is that we can create so many projects using these images from CAS cards to chabby chic to interactive cards. These images will be loved and adored by kids when they receive super fun birthday cards as there are amazing sentiments that go along with this stamp set.

SIDE STEP FOLD CARD

To make a side step card, I took a 8.5" by 5.5" inch cardstock.
I used a paper trimmer and along the 5.5" side, I placed the cardstock at 3" and the cutting blade at 1" and cut along until 6.5"
Now it's time to do the scoring part.. Place the cardtsock on a score board, and on the shorter side (that's 2.5") score at 4.25" right in the middle
The next set of scores are with the cut part which will be at 1", 2", 3.5", 4.5" and 6.5".
Using a bone folder, we need to burnish the scored lines and make mountain fold and valley fold.
After the lines are burnished, fold them all and we get a beautiful side step fold card base all ready.

To embellish the card, I used pattern paper on one side and then added grass die cuts. I used green and brown grass die cuts.
I also added some tree die cuts to go along with them.
There are additional images in the stamp set such as rocks and small plants. I added these images too and tucked the dinosaur image between the grass.
I added some small flowers to the grass and liquid pearls.
To finish the card, I added the sentiment.

TAG

This is a super simple tag and I used one dinosaur image along with the rock and grass image from the stamp set.
I coloured and fuzzy cut the images
For the tag, I used black cardstock and a striped pattern paper.
I added the images together and a couple of small flowers to the rock and finished with adding the sentiment.

Theatre card tutorial

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am super duper excited to share my card today. This is an interactive card and very easy to make. No dies are required to make this card and I have a video tutorial for the same below.

This is called a theatre card and I have used stamps from Craftyscrappers. Craftyscarppers have an amazing set of stamps and super cute ones too. My favourite ones are the Disney princess images which can be used for multiple themes and I have used those images here to make this card.

There is a screen on the front of the card and when the screen is pulled out on both sides, it reveals a beautiful scene on the inside. This is my first time with this interactive card. I will have the measurements of the card pieces used in this card..

Measurements and cardstock required:
  1. 2 pieces of heavy weight cardstock - 5" x 7" (A)
  2. 2 pieces of cardstock  - 4 7/8" x 7" (B)
  3. 1 cardstock - 1" x 6 7/8" (C)
  4. 1 cardstock - 1" x 6 1/2" (D)
  5. 2 pieces of cardstock - 1/2" x 6" (E)

Scoring 1: (Refer to the capitals menioned above)
1. Taking B mentioned above, score at 1 1/4" and 3 1/2" along the 7" side
2. In the gap between the scored lines, take a ruler and from the bottom mark 1/2" and 1 1/8" and connect the scored lines
3. From the right, mark 1/2" and 1 1/4"

Scoring 2: (Refer to capitals mentioned above)
1. The scoring is the same for cardstock C and D
2. Along the long side, score 1/2" on all four sides.
3. Along the small side, score at 1/4"
4. Refer the image below

Birthday floral card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am really excited to be a Guest designer this month for Varada Shrama. Today, I have a card from the new release – Fantastic florals. It has a great selection of floral images and work great to make cards.

I am using Rose Bouquet for my card today. I made a birthday card using the gorgeous image. It’s a large image with a fully bloomed rose along with small rose and leaves.

·         I printed out the image in two sizes. One large image and two smaller ones.

·         I coloured only the large image using Polychromos pencils and left the smaller ones uncoloured.

·         To turn the image into a card, I took a yellow cardstock measuring 4.25 by 5.5 inch and made a top fold notecard.

·         I added a blue polka dot pattern paper first to the base. To add more layers, I added a black cardstock and topped it with a yellow cardstock.

·         Then, I added the coloured image first and then trimmed down the other two smaller images so I could tuck them behind the coloured one.

·         I added a birthday sentiment to the card and finished the card by adding some liquid pearls copper and a couple of sequins.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the card.

Circle Valentine card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Valentine's day is almost here and I have a cute circle card using Coffee Cuties from Your Next stamp. I love making circle cards and if you are following my work you would've seen I make circle cards a lot these days. This image has two cute bunnies sitting inside a coffee cup and enjoying their cup of coffee/tea and spending time with each other. I love adding die cut handmade flowers and leaves as they make all projects so pretty.

This is a very simple card where I created a small scene by adding grass and a street lamp. I tucked in the image between the grass and added all of this to a blue pattern paper circle. I trimmed out the excess and added this to a black cardstock.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment along with die cut leaves and flowers. Finally to embellish, I added liquid pearls. Its a great alternative to gemstones.

Secret of Rose - Valentine's Day cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Valentine's day is right around the corner and lets make it special by making some fun cards using Layered Roses, Alphabet Stencil and Script stamp set from Tubby Craft. Hop on to Tubby craft site and use PRIYADARSHINI5 coupon code to avail a discount on your purchase.

CARD 1

Starting with my first card, yes its a shaker card. I make a lot of shaker cards these days and they are super fun to make.
For the background, I used Alphabet stencil and heat embossed using silver embossing powder.
I stamped the roses and leaves from Layered Roses stamp set. Then, I coloured and fuzzy cut them.
I made this a circle card, so I used kraft note card to die cut a circle base. Along with this I die cut a black frame and an acetate sheet.
I used foam adhesive for the dimension and added lots of shaker elements and sealed it with the black frame.
I added the roses and leaves on two sides of the card and finished it by adding a sentiment. To make it more special, I added gold liquid pearls to the frame.

CARD 2

My second card is very simple and easy where I did heat embossed background and did ink resist.
The stamp set has gorgeous rose image which can be layered.
I used a white card stock which has a little bit of texture for stamping the roses.
I used Lawn green and emerald green for the leaves.
For the roses, I used Lavender violet and Lilac purple.
For the background, I used Script stamp and heat embossed with white embossing powder and inked with Lemon yellow and Tangy Orange. I did very mild inking as the focus had to be on the roses.
I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.
I added all the pieces together to my card base and finished the card by adding some gem stones.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the card.
