Birthday at Kremlin

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another simple birthday card using From Russia with love stamp set from Waffle flower to celebrate the 7 years with Waffle flower and also for their weekly theme challenge. Russia is a beautiful country though I have't been to Moscow, I love the time spent at St.Petersburg and was literally amazed at the palaces and beauty. I love this stamp set along with Ni Hao and Hola and ever since I got them, I just can't get enough of them.

I used this cutie girl from the set along with Kremlin and and using pencils added the road and some grass along with tress which I used from Riverside. I used the sentiment from the stamp set and finished the card with gemstones.

Dragon wishes

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

My favourite favourite stamp set from Waffle flower is Ni Hao. There are so many possible theme cards which can be made using this and a while back, I also made a layout using this stamp set which can be found HERE. My focus here is on the dragon play and I trimmed down the image so I can add it to the middle on the note card. I took a A2 size kraft notecard and repeatedly stamped the floating lanterns on the background and finished the card with the sentiment and liquid pearls.

Camp your birthday

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am so excited to share my card today made using Riverside and pattern play from Waffle Flower. What I love about this stamp set is the nature images like mountain, tiny trees and a road image which can also be used as river and the most precious one is the tent. Using this stamp set, we can build up a small scene which could be camping or on the road or night sky and more.

For my card, I made a slimline card where I had a small scene built in the right middle and I did some masking too. I masked off the mountain and tent to add ink to the base and to add grass. Then I coloured the mountains and the tent and added some clouds and stars to finish the scene. Using pattern play, I added some extra stamping and finished the card with the sentiment and gemstones.

Birthday celebration card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Who doesn't love to have an awesome birthday celebration especially when the Mariachi are joining in to wish. I have a simple birthday card using Hola from Waffle Flower to celebrate their 7th year. I love this stamp set and its so fun to make a card.

I stamped and coloured the image, then fuzzy cut them out. I took a white card stock and inked the background using three shades - blue, green and yellow. Then added the images to the base. I stamped the sentiments too and fuzzy cut that out to add card.

To finish the card, I took a white note card and added a black card stock to it and then added the base to it. I added small dashes with silver pen, stamped the musical note and finally my favourite which is gemstones.

Enjoy the day

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have a simple card here using Waffle flower Potted stamp set. I love the succulents here and they make a beautiful card for any occasion. For this card, I coloured the succulents on white card stock and felt the plain background wasn't looking that great. So I created a background using colour pencils and alcohol markers. I am not great that creating a scene but I tried my best and I am working on the same.

I made a small window behind the potted succulents and made a small field and curtains. For the walls I kept them simple and have a stripped wall here. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment, added gemstones and small flowers here and there and some liquid pearls for the curtain. This is a perfect card for spring or summer.

Waffle flower celebration

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am happy to celebrate the 7th birthday with Waffle flower with this card I made in Jan for a very important cause where paper crafters all over the world united to fight against racism and always stand united. I just want to talk a little about the card and why I made this design.. Waffle flower has brilliant stamps and I love the ones with the country theme. I was lucky to get Ni Hao, Hola Mexico and From Russia with love. Three different countries with unique and wonderful cultural aspects. I decided to mix them all and make a card. I coloured the images that is the people with different skin tone and blended the backgrounds. This is one my favourite card this year and I am so happy to link it to the birthday celebration.

Gift pocket in cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another post for Tubby craft team using our newly launched DIY kit birthday kids special. I have a different project here where I made two cards with pockets in the front where we can tuck in a gift card or some money as gift. To make these cards, I stretched the stamps.

Card 1

For the first card, I used Baby in box stamp set along with Big birthday wishes
I used the large cake with number candle and the sentiment and a few cupcakes.
I masked of the baby from baby in box stamp set and tucked in the cake and cupcakes into the box.
I used a vellum sheet on the back of the stamped images and added double sided adhesive and created a small pocket to tuck in a gift card or some birthday cash.
To finish the card, I took a white top fold note card, and added a piece of pattern paper from the kit and added the cake image to the base.
I also added the sentiment Surprise and some sequins.

Card 2

For my next card, I used Kindness stamp set along with Big birthday wishes
I used the cute rhino and the mouse image from the stamp set and a couple of cupcakes.
I created a small scene by adding a sky and grass.
To create the pocket for gift card, I only added dimension to the sides and left the center part free so I can tuck in the card.
I made a small slit in the rhino's hand and tucked the cupcakes and made it look like the mouse is also holding cupcake.
To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some liquid pearls.

For the first card, its a CAS card where I used one image and added some musical quotes and finished with the sentiment and flowers. For the second card, I used inspiration from YNS challenge which is a photo inspiration for the fortnight. I created a small scene inside a circle die cut ad made it look like a hanging lamp and added some more lamps on the background and also used the colour scheme. Check out the video at the end of the post to see how I made these cards.

New season, new technique hop - 1 stamp 4 cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am super happy to be a part of a collaboration hop in YouTube with other amazing crafters. I should say I enjoyed working on this hop. I initially had to break my head as I had absolutely no idea how and where to start working. The theme is new season new technique and there is so much we can do but I had very little time to start work. I was literally panicking and was rampaging my stash to check for stamps, dies, pattern papers, etc... I choose some pattern papers but decided I wont be using them (I have been working a lot with them and I felt my stamps were left too lonely and they missed me as I missed them too :) lol).

I picked out a few Altenew stamps, heartfelt stamps and craftyscrappers floral stamps. To narrow it down I turned to my husband and my friend and they helped me with finalising this beautiful Peony stamp set from heartfelt creations. Next came the technique.. I was totally stuck out here. Day and night I was on YouTube and researching on what new technique I can do. Thats when I decided to work on different backgrounds for cards. Check out the video to see how I made these cards and below there is final look at the cards.

I went with One stamp and different backgrounds and when it comes to seasons I went with all 4 seasons. I made a card for each season and chose a colour from the palette. For spring I went with Purple and made a monochrome/tone on tone card. For summer, I went multicolour background and chose shades from tiger lily for the flower. For Autumn, I went with earthen tones and coloured the flower on karft cardstock with a diec ut background. And finally for Winter, I went with Blue and softer tone to make a card and added a heat embossed piece to the background.
