Birthday card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Creating a scene card is super fun. For today'post I have a super fun card using Little Darling frog princess from Your next stamp. YNS is one of my favourite stamp company and creating a scene with cute with die cuts. To make this card, I used sunshine die and grass die. For the background, I did ink blending using light blue and dark blue ink. After die cutting the grass I inked using light and dark ink. For the sunshine, after die cutting I used an oval die and cut it again.

I layered all the pieces together and then tucked in the princess image between the grass and added the prince image. To finish the card, I added the sentiment.

Shaker birthday card & CAS card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am here today with another simple shaker card using DIY PAPER CRAFT KIT - KIDS SPECIAL - BIRTHDAY THEME. The kit has amazing products to make a ton of cards or tags and more.

SHAKER CARD

I stamped the large cake, candles and a couple of cupcakes on white cardstock and coloured using pencils.
I kept the fuzzy cut elements aside and started making the shaker part.
On another piece of white cardstock, I blended using Imperial Red and Lemon yellow inks using the blending tool from the kit.
I used square dies to cut a frame for the shaker part and pasted a piece of acetate. I added some foam adhesive behind the frame.

On the ink blended part, I added two cupcakes and sequins. Then I added the acetate part.
To finish the card, I took a top fold note card and added the large cake on one corner of the shaker part and some flowers on the other side.
I added the sentiment using Jet black ink and the card is done.

CAS Card

My second card is a CAS card.
I took a 2 inch strip of white cardstock and inked blended using Imperial Red, lemon yellow and Turquoise ink from the kit.
Once the ink is completely dried, I stamped the cupcake from the stamp set using Jet black ink.
I trimmed down the strip to an inch and added that to a top fold note card.
I finished the card by adding a coloured cupcake image to the center and the sentiment.

Spring floral card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have a cute spring floral card using ready to colour Flowering blooms from Die cuts and more. I loooovveee the ready to colour floral elements. We can colour using pencils, markers or water colours and fuzzy cut them and use them in card, tag, envelopes or scrap booking.

For my card, I used double coloured flower - blue and purple and coloured the leaves.. I like to add some non-coloured flowers too while layering them. For the card base, I used side fold card and added a pastel violet cardstock first. Then layered with pattern paper. Then added a piece of lace and I am in love with this gorgeous lace. I started layering the flowers one on top of the other and finished with a simple sentiment and some sequins.

'Two worlds in one' card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am so happy to join World Wide Open Design team challenge from this month. I have this image Two World from Julia Spiri for my card. This image reminds me of the love between a mermaid and the sailor pirate from Pirates of Caribbean movie part 4. I love mermaids and this image talks a lot. I kept the card very very simple. I wanted the focus to stay on the image so I added very less embellishments.

I coloured the sea bed with brown and mixed it up with little green and then used dark blue colour and ombred it. For the sky, I used yellow along with a bit of orange towards the sea. Colouring the mermaid was absolute fun here. I used purple along with little yellow to the center of the fins and added some white dots. For the dots, I used white texture paste to bring in that effect. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and just two flowers.

No line water colouring - A new day

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Spring/Summer is here and its time to make tons of colourful cards. This is one of my favourite stamps called A new day from W Plus 9 (I think its a retired stamp set) and I always wanted to do a no-line water colouring using the same. For colouring I used Peerless watercolours and for stamping I used Antique linen Distress ink. I used cold press water colour paper from Little birdie to make this card. Once the colours are completely dry, I used a Kraft note card to finished with a sentiment and using a black pen, I drew a border around the image.

'Shine & smiles' - One die two cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have tons of dies with me and end up only using a few of them. While I was doing my part for spring cleaning, I figured out I had this Sunburst Cover panel from Reverse Confetti which is definitely an old one lost in my pile. After digging this out, I wanted to make one card. I had no idea to make two with one die.

I took a sticker sheet I had and inked it using Daffodil and Sunflower from Craftyscrappers and then die cut the panel. After that I saved the remaining pieces and decided to make another card.
I removed the back of the sticker and added it to a white cardstock.
Then, I added the image and finished with adding a sentiment.

For the next card, I wanted another inked background that compliments the sun rays colours. So I ended up inking a white cardstock with Peacock at the middle and Arctic towards the sides and these inks are from Craftyscrappers.
Before finishing the first card, I did die cut inlay here. I used the die cut from the first card before adhering it, and used it as a guide to inlay all the pieces together.
Once, its done I added the cutie image from Insanely happy and finished with a sentiment.

Birthday Pull and reveal card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Today, I have a very simple and easy interactive using DIY PAPER CRAFT KIT - KIDS SPECIAL - BIRTHDAY THEME along with Dinosaur and friends. The card for today is a Pull & reveal card and even though there are dies available for the same, I thought I will not use them and instead show how to make it without any dies.  I have a write below as well as video tutorial on how I made this card.

This is a regular A2 size top fold card and to start with, I stamped the dinosaur image and the cupcake image on white circle die cut piece. It is not necessary for it to be circle, it can also be square. I took two sizes of circle, where the largest one will be shown on the top and the smaller one will be hidden.

To make the mechanism (Split in three parts)

Part A
I took a white card stock measuring 1 1/4 inches by 5 inches
Along the 5 inch side, from my left side using a scale I made a mark at 1 inch and 1/8 of an inch from the first line. Using a score tool, I scored both the lines well.

Part B

Along the short side and along the scored lines, I made a mark at 0.5cm (3/16 of an inch)on the sides and drew a straight line and then cut them out.

Part C

Once the mechanism is ready, I need to make the next part which is necessary for the mechanism to work.
I have a 3.5 inch black cardstock and 3.25 inch pattern pattern added together.
I flipped it over and places the largest circle die and made two marks at either side which measures 7/8th of an inch.
Using an excato/paper knife I made small slit and then the mechanism piece will slide in freely.

Once the mechanism fits in the square part, its time to assemble the card together.
If you can see the above picture, I did not add the circle piece close to the mechanism or cover it because the pull part will not work. So its best to leave a little space and add.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment and couple of gemstones.

Wings of Destiny + Easter card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back here with another card for this month's challenge at Le Anns World 101 using Destiny and an Easter card using Bunny play.

Isn't this a super cute image to work with??? I enjoyed colouring this image and I didn't know how to work with the background. I used alcohol markers for the background and made it colourful. I added a butterfly pattern paper to the base of the note card and finished with a sentiment.

I kept this card simple and focused on the image. I coloured the image and made a Polaroid kinda background for the image to be a highlight.
I added pattern paper to the notecard base and finished by adding embellishments and flowers.
To finish the card, I added an inspirational sentiment and Easter greetings on the inside of the card.
