Quick card using colour pencils

Hey everyone,

Today's post is about a quick and simple card using stamp from Peek a boo designs. Before I go ahead about the card, Peek a boo designs is a Indian stamp company from one of my friends. I have a link to the website below do visit they have an amazing collection of stamps.

I used peonies love stamp set and coloured them using colour pencils. I used jet black ink and heat embossed them using clear embossing powder. Initially, I wanted to water colour using distress inks but I changed my mind and used colour pencils. I was quiet happy with my result. To finish the card I used back ground stamps from itsy bitsy using moonlight ink from mama elephant. I used light green baker's twine and added the flower to it using double sided tape and some purple stone to finish the card.

Visit their site and try their stamps, its amazing.

Neat & Tangled cute stamp

I recently got this stamp set from neat and tangled ad totally loved it. Its the cutest stamp I have ever used. Loving it. Its very very simple and easy card to make. It hardly took any time. I stamped these cats on my card stock with black ink and coloured them with Zing water colours. I trimmed an inch of scrapbooking design paper and adhered it to the right of the card. I cut the cats and stuck them using double sided tape and stamped my sentiment to the card.  Try this out its super fun.

Coloured heart with gold embossing

Hi everyone,

I am back with an awesome card from Neat & Tangled stamp set. I stamped the heart on white card stock and made them colourful using colour pencils and shaded them. I took andother piece of card stock and heat embossed it using glitter gold powder. I used a craft knife and cut out some triangles. Then, I adhered the gold embossed paper to my card stock and stuck the heart on the giltter paper so the gold glitter is seen.

I stamped my sentiment on a separate card stock and adhered it to my card. I didnt want to stop here so I went ahead and adhered a strip of gold glitter paper on the side of the card and added some sequins to finish my card.

In-lay die cut with intricate dies

My second project for day is inlaying die cuts using intricate dies. I learnt this technique from my friend and stamper Jennifer McGuire. Thanks to her.

I used a very intricate floral die for this technique. First I die cut the flower on white card stock. I removed the die cut piece so I can use it for another project. I adhered the rest of the paper to my card stock with negative space showing. I used two colours for my flower. First I die cut orange and adhered the piece to my card. Then I die cut yellow card stock and adhered the small pieces of flower to the same.

To finish the card, I adhered black strip and gold strip of paper on both sides and stamped my sentiment.
I will be making another card using the same technique and will post step by step pictures.

Window card with floating balloons

With my loved one's birthday around the corner, I came up with a window card with floating balloons.

I used a bunny set from mama elephant and stamped it with black ink and colored them with water colors with very mild shading. I stamped a few balloons using blue, orange and green stamps. I cut all of them out and kept it aside till I finish creating my window.

For the window, I cut the mid portion of the card stock and adhered my transparent sheet to it. For the base I used white card stock and on front of it I used mild yellow card so I could sandwich my transparent sheet. I used double sided adhesiveto adhere all of them. First, I marked where I want keep my bunny and added my adhesive. I used black sewing thread for the balloons and adhered them only on the card and not on the transparent sheet. On the inside of the card, I used another set of bunnies and Happy birthday stamp.

Easter shaker card

Today's project is shaker card for Easter. Materials required for this card is card stock, colors, embossing folder, big shot, ohp/acetete sheet, sparkles for shaker, stamp and ink pads. I used honey bunny stamp set from mama elephant.

I stamped the bunney from the set 3 times and colored one of it. I cut all of the bunnies and adhered them to together for some dimention. A small trick before embossing the paper, is to die cut the circle and then do embossing.

First adhere the OHP sheet to the back of the embossed paper. I took a piece of scarp paper and inked it with yellow and orange from Ranger dye inks. I put some of the shaker on the and I put double sided tape to make the shaker. Finally I did some mild coloring on the embossed background flower. I stamped the sentiment on white card and used a purple card stock on back of the sentiment. I adhered it to purple color card stock.
