Simple layout

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Last Friday of this month and I am happy to share another layout. I used rainbow colours and did some stamping using stamps and dies from Pink Fresh studio. I wanted to give a different shape to the rainbow background and I didnt know how to work with it. I worked on it digitally and printed it out and then added some score lines. I did some heat embossing with white powder on vellum. I printed out my picture and added all elements together to make a layout. Its a very simple layout without much work and anyone can make it.

Hello sunshine

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another card and this time its a CAS card. I was having the floral sticker with me for a very long time and didn't know where to use it. I was working on another card and had some vellum leftover which I decided to use for the card base. First I wanted to have a die cut background but changed my mind to embossed background using an embossing folder. After embossing, I adhered to a white note card and the look of vellum embossed is so pretty. I added the sticker to the center of the card and a sentiment and small flowers to finish the card.

Chirpy birthday

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

One of my favourite images is this bird from Wplus 9. Its an old stamp set and I have coloured the same on white  cardstock with different colours but the end result was not the same as colouring on kraft cardstock. My latest obsession is colouring on kraft cardstock and I didnt use fancy colour combination. Just went with basic colours. I recently started using Memento tuxedo black ink and I am loving it. It doesnt bleed and I stamp the images at one go. I used Lyra colour pencils to colour the image and a sentiment. The card is very simple and focuses on the image.

Geometric party

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

My first post for this month is using geometric butterfly stamp set from Mudra stamps - Geometric nature. I generally use white cardstock but this time I went along with kraft cardstock. I realised that colouring on kraft cardstock is absolute fun and colours are definitely bright and wild on them. I started out with one side of the wings making it colourful and the other side with shades of brown, just to give it a different look and I ended up loving it. I added the coloured piece to white notecard and stamped a sentiment. The card is simple and focuses of the coloured butterfly.

Monstrous birthday

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am sharing another birthday card using Fuzzy monster stamp set from Your next stamp. Many know that Your next stamp has shut down and it's my favourite stamp company and I will use their stamps more often. The card is simple with a monster flying out of an envelope with a golden balloon and gifts. I added a sentiment and my card is done. I used Ohuhu markers to colour the image.

Lunar birthday

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am here with a card using digital image from The Paper Shelter - Lunar dreamer. Its such a gorgeous image and I had to colour it and make a card. I used subtle colour for the dress and kept the card super simple. I wanted a dark and contrasting background that goes well the coloured image. I decided to go with black and since plain black was not complimenting I did embossing using embossing folder from Altenew. I fuzzy cut the image and added it to the card base and finished with sentiment and gemstones.

Birthday twist card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

After a long break I am here with a birthday card, with a twist. I am playing with inking and trying to focus on the outline stamp image. I used stamp from iCraft design which I bought from a local store. I have used their stencils earlier but now trying with stamp. Its a beautiful design and I decided to play here. I used 3 shades and masked and inked the card base. Then I stamped the image with black ink and used pencils for some details. I finished the card with a sentiment.

Spring birthday flowers

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Spring is in the air and lets work with some florals. For this card, I used digital stamps from The Paper Shleter - Wild rose and I used shades of purple. I coloured with alcohol markers - Ohuhu markers and for some highlighting, I added a blue outline and the same in the middle. I had no idea what kind of sentiment I had to add for the card. I always make a top fold note card but for this one, I made a side fold note card and added a birthday sentiment and finished with purple cardstock for the background and some gemstones.

Sky high CAS card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with a CAS card using SY Sky high stamp set from My favorite things. I am going along with the sketch from MFT sketch challenge and I used one image from the stamp set. I took a white card stock and a cloud die to die cut. I kept the other piece of the die as well. I wanted to ink both the card pieces. For the die cut part I inked using blue ink and the other part with yellow ink. I added the yellow inked part to the to a black card stock and for the cloud part, I added double sided foam adhesive to give some dimension. I added the coloured image to the card base. I finished the card with a sentiment.

Highlight stencil

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with one of my favourite techniques which is highlighting stencils. I have done this many times and love working on this. The best way to create colourful cards is when you use stencils which has bigger colouirng space like the one I used here. For this card, I outlines the butterfly with a pencil and I used alcohol markers to colour first. I used colour pencils to give some depth and shading. I used a black marker to add an outline to the butterfly and this enhances the colours. Its a very very simple card and the focus stays on the technique. I finished the card, with some gemstones and a sentiment.

Lotus always

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

“If you know how to make good use of the mud, you can grow beautiful lotuses.” I am in love with lotus when they bloom and I used stencil along with the stamp. I have a very simple card here today that works with stamps and stencils. I used products from HNDMD - Hello lovely and Net lace and used distress oxide ink to stencil and grey ink to stamp the image. I did a no-line colouring using pencils and fuzzy cut the image. I stencilled the image on one side of the card and added the flower on it. I added some gemstones and stamped the sentiment. I felt the card was too plain and decided to add a border. This is a one-layer card and its so simple and easy to make.

Blue jasmine card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am here with another floral card for today where I am using White jasmine from Alex Syberia designs and its a beautiful digital image and I loved colouring it. I used alcohol markers to colour the flower and used blue for the flower and green for the leaves. I coloured the image and fuzzy it and then placed it on a mat and sprayed shimmer spray to give some shine and sparkle to the flower. While it was drying, I took a white card stock and embossed it using an embossing folder and the sides of the folder has some flower so I added some silver on the dots there. I added the flower to the center and finished the card with some gemstones and sentiment.

RAWR by hello

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back after a break. I was unwell and it took me a while to get back on my feet and starting working on cards. I have a clean and simple dino card using Dinosaur and friends from Tubby Craft. I started working on kraft cardstock these days and love using prisma colors on them. They give a beautiful effect on kraft paper and the result is different. The card is super simple with focus on the dino and I added a palm tree behind him along with some clouds and a butterfly on his tail. I also added a border and a sentiment to finish the card.

Thank you spring card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

A simple and clean floral card using beautiful flowers from Craftyscrappers - Thanks. The card I made is very simple and focus lies on the florals. I used two colours for the card - purple and green. I coloured the floral part with purple pencils and for the leaves, I used green. The stamp is a floral spray and I stamped it twice on two sides of the notecard. I added border to half of the card and finished with pearls and sentiment.

Highlight solid dies + Cards for Ukraine

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

How would you like to stretch your die cuts by adding more interest and turn them into fun cards????
The solution for that is here..... Earlier I made cards using solid dies and die for embossed background. If you missed that, you can see that post HERE

I used three other solid dies for today's post and I have video as well where you can see how I worked around by adding details. This works best with solid dies and not with background or intricate ones. I used colour pencils and alcohol markers which I find are the best to add details and interest. For all the card, I have sentiment which will be perfect for the current situation happening in the world. Check out the video and hope you can also dig up some old/unused solid dies and turn them into super fun cards.

CAS leaves

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have a CAS birthday card using leaves from 'Where flowers bloom' stamp set from Gina K designs. I think the stamp set is retired as I couldn't find it in the website. They have other beautiful sets available as well.

I used only the solid leaves stamp from the set, and stamped with Frayed leaf ink from Altenew. I used colour pencils to give some highlights to the leaves and added a sentiment to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the card.

Fall leaves

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have a simple fall card here using retired stamp - Give thanks from Waffle flower. I used fall colours to stamp the images using brown, orange and green inks and then highlighted them a little using pencils. Once, I was down with the stamping, I used a white gel pen to add some highlights to the nut and the leaves and a black end to some interest. I used the lightest green ink to add some leaves here and there and finished the card with a sentiment.
