Surround Yourself with Happiness: Dimensional Fruit Easel Card

Welcome to my blog, crafty friends! Today, I’m so excited to share a vibrant easel card featuring the lovely Pears & Pomegranates collection from Pinkfresh Studio. This card is absolutely packed with dimension, color, and texture, making it the perfect interactive display piece for someone special. Turning this into a fall inspired card

I started by stamping the main images using the Pinkfresh Studio Pears & Pomegranates stamp set in a crisp, dark ink. To bring these delicious fruits and foliage to life, I used the coordinating layering stencils with a mix of beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Premium Dye Inks. My little secret for achieving that warm, natural glow on the fruits was all in the layering: while stenciling, I first added a soft, base layer of yellow inkfor both the pomegranates and the pears. This initial yellow layer did wonders, giving the fruits a sun-kissed, realistic depth. Over that, I blended rich red inks for the juicy pomegranates, and fresh green inksfor the pears. The leaves were stenciled in a variety of earthy greens and warm autumnal tones, which seamlessly tied the whole fruit wreath together before being die-cut using the coordinating dies.

For the card base and the easel mechanism, I wanted a heavily textured, elegant backdrop to let the colorful wreath truly pop. I chose a high-quality white cardstock and used a detailed, intricate piercing or embossing plate from Pinkfresh Studio to create the quilted-pattern background. After die-cutting the lush, circular fruit wreath, I mounted it on the top half of the card so it proudly stands up when the easel is open.

To finish the inside—which acts as the perfect anchor for the easel—I added a sweet sentiment, "Surround yourself with Happiness" , along with an extra stenciled pear pair and foliage using the same ink blending technique. To hold the easel securely in place, the die-cut elements are propped up on foam tape, allowing the stand-up portion of the card to rest behind them. A few scattered pearls and subtle silver glitter peek-a-boo die cuts in the wreath add that final touch of elegance. I am absolutely in love with how this playful, layered fruit easel card turned out—it’s like a little papercrafted harvest ready to brighten anyone's desk!

Citrus Dreams and Happy Day

Hello crafty friends! Today, I'm absolutely thrilled to share a project that transports me straight to a sun-drenched Mediterranean terrace: a vibrant lemon-themed easel card. The inspiration for this card was pure sunshine and joy, and I wanted every element to reflect that cheerful feeling. The central feature is a charming arched blue door, which I envisioned as the entrance to a cozy Italian villa. Framing the doorway is a lush, dimensional arbor created from layered lemon and leaf die-cuts, adorned with sunny yellow paper roses and delicate pale yellow flowers. To complete the scene, I added a beautifully detailed blue-and-white vase overflowing with lemons, a perfect touch of old-world elegance. The background paper is a delightful mix of patterns—a central panel of red-and-white polka dots flanked by two light blue polka dot panels—which adds a playful, summery vibe. On the red panel, I stamped the sentiment "Oh HAPPY Day," which perfectly encapsulates the entire mood of the card.

Now, let's talk about the magic of the easel structure! One of the images shows the card closed, revealing the beautiful front design. However, the real surprise is when it's propped open, as seen in the second image. When standing, the card base folds out, creating a display shelf. I decorated this extended area with three small, square tile-patterned papers that echo the blue-and-white color scheme of the vase. Below these tiles is a prominent "CELEBRATE" sentiment in a bold, black font, and next to it, a basket overflowing with even more lemons. The overall design is not just visually appealing but also interactive, making it a truly special card to receive. It's a celebration in paper form, guaranteed to brighten anyone's day. I'm so happy with how it turned out and hope it brings as much joy to you as it did to me in creating it!

Crafting this card was a joyous process, and I encourage you to play with themes that evoke specific feelings. For this project, I used a mix of patterned papers from my stash, die-cuts from various lemon-themed sets, and stamped sentiments. The key to achieving the dimensional look was using foam tape for the lemons, leaves, and even the vase. The easel mechanism itself is quite simple: it's just a standard card base that's scored and folded, with an additional panel added inside to act as a stopper. When the card is opened, the front panel folds against this stopper. The extra decoration on the card base is crucial for stabilizing the card when it's propped up and adds an extra layer of detail that makes the finished project feel complete. I hope this post inspires you to create your own happy, sunshine-filled easel cards! Happy crafting!

Shaker this birthday

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back after a break with a pretty shaker birthday card. My mother-in-law is here for knee replacement surgery and really busy with taking care of her. I finally had some time over the weekend to make this card. It was so relaxing and super fun to craft after hectic 2 weeks of running from hospital to work and home and zumba sessions. I am waiting for friday so I can catch up on my sleep and probably end up like Aurora.

Coming to the card, I used this beautiful birthday girl from LeAnns World 101 and she is holding a balloon. I coloured using pencils and I kept her aside. I wasn't sure how to proceed with the card, whether to make it shaker or just a simple card. I went on to make a shaker card and some element flowers as well. I used the same colour shaker elements for the card and complimenting pattern paper and finished the card with a sentiment.

Roll it up card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am sharing a card I made recently and love how it turned out. Its an interactive card and let's call it a roll up card as I have blinds. The die I used is from Technique Tuesday and for the images, I used adorable adventure from MFT stamps. Its an old die which I never used for a long time and decided to give it a try. I used a lot of pattern paper and adding the die and the images makes a lot of difference. I also have a reel made using this in my Instagram page which you can check out. This card can be made even without the die by just, measuring and scoring and making the blinds.

Peek-a-boo door card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Let's say Winter is here and I have an interactive card using Little darling Winter from Your Next Stamp and I went on to do a no-line colouring on kraft cardstock. Its a very simple card and I made it into an interactive one by having a door and the sentiment is hidden behind the image. Its a peek-a-boo door card without any specialty dies.

To make this card, I stamped the image with antique linen distress ink and coloured with pencils. Once, I was done, I drew an outline using pencil and cut the three side with a craft knife and scored the left part with a scoring tool. I die cut a snowflake and added a senitment on white cardstock. I added the white piece to the back of the kraft cardstock and added both to a top fold note card. To finish the card, I used unicorn white pigment ink from Hero arts and stamped snowflakes and splattered white gold paint.

Twist and pop birthday card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have another card using BB Magical dragons from MFT made to enter into 2021 Card Design Superstar challenge. I am in my hometown and I am glad I carried at least one stamp set with me so I could take part in the challenge. I was wondering what I could make for Innovation master and decided to go with a twist and pop card. Its a super easy card to make and these dragons make them cute. My focus stays on the images from the stamp set and I love these cute little dragons. I also did mirror stamping with one dragon and added it on the inside of the card.

'Rakhi Special' - Card, gift box and basket

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Festive time starts here and its time to celebrate with your siblings - Rakhi. Its a special festival to celebtare with brothers. To make it more special I have project made using products from Tubby Craft. I used Sibling festival and Perfect you to make the card, Foliage 1 and Buttercup to make the gift box and for the basket I used dies from by stash and decorated with flowers. To make the flowers, I used almost all the dye inks.

Card

To start with the card, I first stamped the images and coloured using pencils and fuzzy cut them out.
I die cut a frame from black card stock.
Using an embossing folder, I embossed the front of the note card.
I added the frame to the note card and started adding the images together.
I finished the card with a sentiment and some sequins.

Gift Box

For my gift box, I decided to make DIY pattern paper using stencils and inks.
I took a cream cardstock and stenciled Foliage 1 using Lemon yellow and Mustad Yellow ink.
To make the box, I used white cardstock. For the base of the box, I took 6 by 6 cardstock and scored at 1.5 inches from all four sides. For the lid, I took a 5 by 5 cardstock and scored at 7/8" from all four sides.
I cut the edges for all and bought them together to create a box.
I used to the DIY pattern paper to decorate the box and added buttercup flowers and leaves along with a sentiment and lace.

Gift basket

A super easy basket to hold the card and the gift box.
I took a pocket die from my stash and die cut it 4 times. Then, I stuck the sides together to form the basket.
I used heavy base white card stock to add as the base of the basket and made a handle using border punch.
To embellish the basket, I decided to add flowers of both sides where the handle is placed.
I wanted to use some handmade flowers, and make it very colourful. I used Imperial Red, tangy orange, lemon yellow, light pink, raspberry and blended them all to a white card stock along with lawn gree, emerald green and olive green for the leaves.
I used my flowers and leaves die to die cut them out and shaped them using flower making tools.
I added them together on the sides of the basket.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the projects.
Stay happy and keep crafting.

Gift pocket in cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another post for Tubby craft team using our newly launched DIY kit birthday kids special. I have a different project here where I made two cards with pockets in the front where we can tuck in a gift card or some money as gift. To make these cards, I stretched the stamps.

Card 1

For the first card, I used Baby in box stamp set along with Big birthday wishes.
I used the large cake with number candle and the sentiment and a few cupcakes.
I masked of the baby from baby in box stamp set and tucked in the cake and cupcakes into the box.
I used a vellum sheet on the back of the stamped images and added double sided adhesive and created a small pocket to tuck in a gift card or some birthday cash.
To finish the card, I took a white top fold note card, and added a piece of pattern paper from the kit and added the cake image to the base.
I also added the sentiment Surprise and some sequins.

Card 2

For my next card, I used Kindness stamp set along with Big birthday wishes.
I used the cute rhino and the mouse image from the stamp set and a couple of cupcakes.
I created a small scene by adding a sky and grass.
To create the pocket for gift card, I only added dimension to the sides and left the center part free so I can tuck in the card.
I made a small slit in the rhino's hand and tucked the cupcakes and made it look like the mouse is also holding cupcake.
To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some liquid pearls.
