Warm hugs card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am happy to share another card today, using a very beautiful stamp set from iCraft. I love the floral spray and beautiful flowers in the bunch. I am not great in water colouring but just gave it a shot. I stamped the image using versamark ink as it has to be waterproof. For colouring I used beyond inks watercolours. I fished the card with a sentiment.

Watercolour card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am here with another card and this time I am using watercolours for colouring the image. This stamp set is from Craftyscrappers and it was designed by me when I was working as their DT. The stamp set is called Wonderful and its a pretty set where it goes with almost all the themes. I used pink shade for the flowers and green with a tad of brown for the leaves. Its a rectangle top fold card and to finish the card, I added some embellishments and splattered some black ink and added the sentiment.

No-line watercolouring peonies

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I love Peony bouquet stamp set. First, I saw Kristina Werner make no-line watercolouring card in her video. She was amazing and my card is nothing compared to hers. But I did try my best here to make a card using Beyond inks. I love their watercolours, they are so vibrant and easy to use.

To stamp the outline flower, I used matching colour inks and used the same watercolours to colour. It took me a while to colour and here is the card. Aren't peonies such beautiful flowers.... I did a ton of masking here to stamp so I could colour them. I used 400 gsm watercolour paper and used bright colours here for the card. After I finished colouring, I trimmed down the sheet and kept it aside. I took another cardstock and added some strips using black pen to add to the card. To finish, I added gemstones and a sentiment.

Wings of nature

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

“Butterflies are self-propelled flowers.” — Robert A. Heinlein. What a beautiful quote for Butterflies. For my card for today, I have a CAS watercoloured card where I have used butterfly stencil and for the background, I used butterfly die cut from Your next stamp.

I have used my favorite water colour, Beyond inks. It's an Indian brand and brilliant selection of colors. At the end of the post I have a video for the same. The card is very simple and focus stays on the butterfly.

Waterolour florals

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

My addiction to watercolouring has increased and I am in love with them. For my card here I used Oakberry lane antics stamps from Heartfelt creations and colours from Beyond inks. I had stamped and kept it aside for a long time and now decided to try my hands on watercolouring. My favourite watercolours are from Beyond inks and here I used Scarlet red, Mustard yellow, Jalapeno greenSunny lime and Rose pink. The card is kept simple with focus on the image and added it to a top fold note card and finished with adding a sentiment and gemstones.

Florals - birthday cards (2 cards)

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Today I have 2 cards using floral elements to make birthday cards. I used stencils and stamps to make the cards. Off late I love doing no-line watercolouring and its absolute fun to make such cards. I turned both into birthday cards and for my second card, I used Garden treasure from Altenew. For the sentiment, I used Trignometry from Altenew.

CARD 1

For this card, I used stencil from iCraft - Mini stencil 8920 and Turquoise watercolour from Beyond inks.
I stenciled using aqua blue ink from Altenew which is a very light blue ink and then I started watercolouring.
I love stencil highlight technique and have done a few cards earlier as well.
To turn it into a card, I cut out the stenciled image and kept it aside.
First, I got the card base ready by adding a light blue paper and die cut a frame from rectangle die.
I angled the die cut piece and added the flower accordingly.
To finish the card, I added a sentiment and sequins.

CARD 2

For my second card, I stamped the floral and leaves and fuzzy cut them out.
For the flowers, I coloured them in pink and did very mild shading.
For the card base, I took a white note card and added two strips of black cardstock on one edge
Added a white card, stamped image from the stamp set and added some black spots using black ink.
I added the leaves and layered the flowers and finished the card with a sentiment and sequins.

'Magnolias' - Water colouring

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with a floral card using Altenew - Magnolias for her, Happy die and Layered plaid cover die. I did water colouring for the flowers here using Fuchsia pink, Turquoise blue and Vivid violet colours. For the flowers, I coloured with pink and for the leaves I used turquoise. After I die cut the word Happy, I coloured with violet colour and added a little gradient as well. To finish the card, I added the die cut plaid pattern and layered the flowers and leaves and added the sentiment where I also added anniversary right on the happy die.  Finally, I added a couple of gemstones and my card is done.

Butterfly CAS card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another CAS card using DC134 - Butterflies stamp and die from Hero arts. This is the first stamp I bought from Hero arts and I hardly used it. I was in search of a die set and I stumbled upon this set and I felt I should use it atleast now. I decided to go with no-line colouring and give a rainbow colour palette. For the card base, I used a pale purple ink and gave a subtle background. I wanted the focus to stay on the butterfly. I added a sentiment and couple of gemstones to finish the card.

Elsa - No line colouring

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Recently, I started trying my hands on no-line water colouring and it is definitely fun. For today's post I am using Little darling winter from Your next stamp. For  colouring I used water colours from Beyond inks and I will definitely recommend them and I love the quality of the inks and water colour paper that comes along with the inks.

To stamp the image, I used Antique linen distress ink and paint brush sizes 0 & 2 to do my colouring. Colours used here:
  1. Coffee Brown - for skin
  2. Forest green & Rose pink  - for dress
  3. Mustard yellow & Sunflower yellow - for hair
  4. Aqua blue - for the background
I am not great at watercolouring but I gave my best here and will be making more cards with the same technique. To finish the card, I assembled all of it and finished with sentiment and some gem stones.

Russian birthday card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am not great at watercolouring but I did try my best with this card. I made this card for Waffle flower weekly challenge using From Russia with love. I chose two images from the set, the largest Matryoshka doll and a circus bear.

First I heat embossed the images using platinum embossing powder from WOW. I had the filmstrip die cut in my stash which I had kept it for another card but never used it. So I ended up using it here. I repeat stamped the sentiment vertically and embossed with gold embossing powder. For water colouring I used Craftyscrappers ink pads which are water reactive dye inks.

I water coloured the images and fuzzy cut the out. I used two shades to water colour the background. To finish the card, I added some sequins matching the background colour and added a border using black pen.

'Colours of joy' - Journal page

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

My post here for today is all about using products from Tubby Craft to make a journal page. I call this colours of joy. I have two steps here to proceed with the journal page. There is absolutely no rule when it comes to making a journal page, I just go with the flow.

Before starting with the journal page, I made my own pattern paper/decoupage paper using inks and stamps. To make this paper, I used a printer paper and between every step, I heat set them so the inks do not smudge and are crisp.

I used mod podge to add the inked paper and then started with stenciling using mixed media paste and crackle paste. Tubby stencils are amazing and using paste for stenciling gives great texture. After they are completely dry, I added some white gesso as they will enhance the colours.

I started adding the inks to the base (I did a double coat so they are darker). I came in when some black ink and did some stamping to add depth. Finally, I added all the images and finished the page.
