Fragnance of Love - Valentine cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

"Every rose that is sweet - scented within, That rose is telling a secret. With this beautiful quote, let me start sharing the cards made for Valentine's day using Love Roses and Brick stencil. This is a beautiful stamp set with a sentiment that can be used for all occasions.

Card 1

For myfirst card, I used brick stencil and crcakle paste to give some texture to the background.
While the paste was drying, I die cut layered heart dies and stamped the roses and leaves.
After colouring the flowers and leaves, I fuzzy cut them and kept them aside.
I added the die cut to the brick background. I kept the brick background white so the focus is on the roses.
I started stacking up the roses and leaves and finished with the sentiment and some gemstones.

Card 2

For my next card, I kept it pink themed.
First I stenciled the using Light Pink ink and brick stencil.
Then, I stamped the roses and leaves on grey cardstock. First I drew a circle and used that as a guide and stamped.
Using Pink and green penicl,I coloured them. Then, I fuzzy cut them according to the brick die cut.
Using liquid glue, I stacked up the roses together and finished with the sentiment and gemstones.

Mixed media heart layout

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am sharing my favourite favourite project made for Swati Craft Corner using Lovestruck pattern paper and coordinating element sheet. I love this project and this definitely my favourite and its perfect for upcoming valentine day.

The base for this mixed media is a heart shaped MDF and I added the pattern paper and then have a lot of texture to it which I coloured with chalk paint later. Then I die cut a window panel and started adding elements like lace, die cuts, flowers, images from motif sheet and paper flowers. To finish the panel, I added the sentiment.

The size of the heart MDF base is 8" and I used 12 x 12 inch paper. Below I have close up pictures where you can all see the texture and layers used here to make the layout. There are so many elements used here and what makes a layout the best - adding flowers.

Adding flowers is very important in making any layout. And how to do that???? Coordinate the shades of flowers with the pattern papers and background colours used so they complement each other. The best set of shades will be pastel shades as they go with most of the pattern papers.

Slimline shaker card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

We all love handmade cards and gifts.. How to make it more special?? How about adding some shaker elements with cute images and a motivational sentiment.

I have a tutorial on how I made this super cute slimline shaker card using Hola from Waffle flower and Balloon buddies from Your next stamp. Its a cute scene where I added the stamps and die cut circles along with shaker elements.

Each shaker part has a different inked background and different stamp too. This is a great way to combine two stamp sets into one and make a card.

I added some highlights to the background stamped images since I wanted them to stand out in the inking part. For inking, I used inks from Tubby craft. Tubby craft inks are water based dye inks and they are mild and perfect for inking, stenciling and water colouring.

Mixed media panel

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with anther mixed media project this month for The Crafters Challenge. The theme is anything goes as always and below I have a video tutorial on how I made the panel. I used a lot of texture and die cuts. I have this jigsaw die and cut out some pieces from it along with gear dies. I bought the gear dies recently from Itsy bitsy and they are awesome. They make the perfect alternate if you don't have gear chippies.

They are individual gears so it can be used in a number of projects and not just mixed media. Once gesso is applied, the die cut papers don't warp or get destroyed. I will be using these dies a lot in my projects.

Clear gift shaker pocket

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am so excited to share this project here. Its a clear gift shaker pocket where I have a gift card pasted to the back of the image SWEETHEART BESTIE DOLL 14  and I used a ziploc and sealed it with shaker elements. I used We R Memory keepers Fuse tool to seal the pocket so the shaker elements don't fall out. Its very simple and easy project to make where you can add a gift card to the back of the image or tuck it inside.

Seashell - Mixed media canvas using Tubby ink pads

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

My first post for Tubby craft this year is a mixed media canvas using stencils and ink pads. This is the first time, I tried using ink pads to make a mixed media canvas. I am still learning on how to work around mixed media projects and this is definitely a trial and I am happy with the outcome. I have a video for the same on how I made this canvas. I used only ink pads to add colour along with white gesso and texture paste. The moulds I used here are shell themed and the canvas has a lot of texture.
