Mini slimline card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have a mini slimline card for today's post. To make this card, I used NiHao from Waffle flower and inks from Craftyscrappers. I tried to make a small carnival scene here using the images from the stamp set. This set has a lot of great images like the dragon, a karate guy, lanterns and more. I masked off the lower part of white card stock and inked using blue and violet ink and for the other part, I used brown ink. I spritzed some water to give some textured look. Then I started adding all the images together. I finished with stamping the sentiment and couple of sequins.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the card.

I used Matryoshka doll image the smallest one along with the Kremlin and the Russian girl. I used a die cut I had in my stash to and for the background, I used a pattern paper and the frame die. I added two dolls in the small square die cut and added the Kremlin and girl below. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some sequins.

Mexican camp birthday card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am here with another card using Hola and Riverside from Waffle flower. I love to stretch stamps and make cards. For my card here, I made a Mexican camp birthday card. I have the cute tent, mountains and clouds from Riverside and Cactus and the Mariachi band playing. I made the scene like the mariachi is singing a birthday song while celebrating birthday camping. The card is very simple and I just added some deco stones to give a little dimension which looks like there are some stones at the base of cactus. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some dots using white gel pen.

I used pattern paper for the background and added a lace and flowers to make the card. To finish the card, I added the sentiment.

Cut-it up technique card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I have simple technique card - cut it up technique using floral stamps. I did a lot of masking for this card since I have to do multiple layers of stamping. I could have done fuzzy cutting and layering but it will make it difficult to cut them out. The best is to do masking for this technique and that works the best.

To make this card, I used Smile More stamp set from Altenew. I stamped a lot here, first on masking sheet and then on cardstock. There was a lot of cutting to do for me to mask the flowers and leaves for stamping and mild inking the background. I used peach shade to colour the flowers and used white gel to add some details. After I finished colouring and stamping, I turned the card over and drew some lines with a pencil. Using them as guide, I cut the card and added that to a black cardstock. I started with the bottom most part and then using white dye ink, I also stamped a sentiment and then added up other parts too. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and added sequins.

Magnolia card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Who doesn't love floral elements and cards with flowers on them. My favourite flowers are Sunflower, Tulips and Magnolias. Magnolias are known for their longevity and perseverance. My favourite Magonlia stamp is from Altenew - Magnolias for her. The stamp set has beautiful flowers and leaves which I used today to make this simple card with a die cut background.

I kept the flowers in peach colour and die cut from sky blue cardstock for the background. I wanted a die cut for the background and a simple sentiment to go along with the card and some sequins to embellish.

Unicorn birthday card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Yes.. Yes.. Its another slimline card and I am addicted to making them off late. I have a unicorn card today and its a very simple card and still fun. I used some scraps from my stash to make this card. I used Magical unicorn from Your next stamp along with Rainbow die from Paper smooches. I used left over pattern paper to die cut. I was in a dilemma whether to colour the rainbow or left leave it as it is. I decided to let it be as it is and make a different rainbow.

For the background clouds part, I had an old cloud die cut piece with me and used it to ink the background. For the stars, I stamped them on left over pieces of card stock and used pencil to add some depth and shade to them.

I fuzzy cut all the stamped images and added them to the stenciled background and finished with stamping the sentiment and some sequins.

'Happy day' - slimline card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another slimline card and this time its chabby chic baby card. I used Baby boy giraffe from Die cuts and more. They have amazing range of critter sheets which can be used with any pattern paper or stencils or die cuts or stamps as well. I fuzzy cut the the elements and had them in a box for quiet sometime and I had no idea how I was gonna use them.

Since slimline cards are i trend, I thought why not make a slimline chabby chic baby card. Even though the theme says boy, I kept it neutral and just added a sentiment happy day. The card can also be used as a birthday card for one year old kid or a baby card. For embellishing the card and give it a chabby chic look, I added lace, tulle, die cut leaves, flowers and decostones. All I did was adding them into layers, layers and to finish the card, I added the sentiment happy day.

Russian birthday card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am not great at watercolouring but I did try my best with this card. I made this card for Waffle flower weekly challenge using From Russia with love. I chose two images from the set, the largest Matryoshka doll and a circus bear.

First I heat embossed the images using platinum embossing powder from WOW. I had the filmstrip die cut in my stash which I had kept it for another card but never used it. So I ended up using it here. I repeat stamped the sentiment vertically and embossed with gold embossing powder. For water colouring I used Craftyscrappers ink pads which are water reactive dye inks.

I water coloured the images and fuzzy cut the out. I used two shades to water colour the background. To finish the card, I added some sequins matching the background colour and added a border using black pen.

Slimeline card using scraps

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Of late I am addicted to making slimline cards and I am back here with another one using scraps I had and tried a technique which I suppose is quiet old called paper piecing. From this technique we can get a lot from scraps we have left over.
For my card I used Fairlytale homes - house tea pot and Little darling Frog princess. I created a small scene here using three images and scroll down to see the close up to see how I used the scrap pieces.

I have two grass layers here. The bottom most layer I used a scrap white cardstock I had which I earlier used for ink masking. I just inked it u with two shades of green.
For the next layer, I used scrap pattern paper and inked the edges with dark green ink.
For the sky, I used an old strip of pattern paper I had which compliments the scene created here.

For the prince and princess I did the same. First, I stamped the images on white card stock. I coloured the skin, hair, frog, the prince's armor, cape and sword.
I stamped the same images on scrap pattern paper and did fuzzy cutting. Generally I will leave a little gap around the image but this time I did a very close fuzzy cutting.

I added pattern paper to the princess dress, where I used two different designs.
For the prince, I used pattern paper for the shield, his shoes and the thing on his helmet

For the tea pot, I directly stamped it onto a pattern paper. This is a double sided pattern paper and this side has almost plain design. I added highlights using colour pencils and fortunately the side I chose has design that makes it look old and goes with the scene.
I added all the pieces together to create the scene and finished with stamping a sentiment.
