Winter Fun

Hello there,

I am here with a card for The Paper Shelter (TPS) challenge #360. TPS is a stamp company which provides digital stamps, accessories, pattern paper and much more.

We also have challenge blog where every week we have a different theme for the challenge and these are showcased by 2 teams. And for this week our challenge is 'WINTER FUN'. While entering the challenge, please remember to stick to the theme.

For this theme I used image 'Delicious Cocoa' from TPS shop. Its such a cute and cool image which is perfect for this theme. As usual my card is CAS. I though this image would make it perfect for the theme. I love hot chocolate when the weather is cold and this is a lovely image.

I printed out the image and coloured him with pencils. Then I die cut image with my oval die and added the same to a pattern paper which has winter patterns. Then I added some silver snowflakes and some rhinestones. To finish the card, I added the sentiment 'Winter is coming'.

I hope you all liked my card. Do check out our website for more images and also participate in our weekly challenge and get a chance to win great prizes (link for both are available at the beginning of the post).

Diwali cards - Inspiration post

Hello,

This is an inspiration post for  Craftyscrappers. This month we have a new challenge with theme is 'Celebrate Dusshera & Diwali'. Our festive season has started and its months of fun and joy and celebration. Its my favorite time of the year and the most busiest time for me. With Navaratri celebrations just over and Diwali around the corner, I decided to make 4 projects as an inspiration for Craftyscrappers blog this month.

For these projects I used only one stamp set and 2 stencils. I wanted to show that 4 projects can be made with minimal supplies. I have used few supplies to make these projects. As always, my cards are CAS (clean and simple). I have made 3 cards and one gift/shagun envelope.

Materials required:
1. Craftyscrappers
    a. Crackling Deepawali - Stamp
    b. Abstract stars - Stencil
    c. Rangoli - Stencil
2. Altenew Jet black ink
3. Distress oxide inks
    a. Abandoned coral
    b. Picked raspberry
    c. Spiced marmalade
    d. Wild honey
    e. Firebrick
4. White card stock, gold card stock
5. Foam adhesive
6. Circle die cut and Doily die cut
7. Colour pencils
8. Embossing paste
9. Embossing powder - Sparkle, clear gloss, gold
10. Anti-static powder tool
11. Liquid pearls
12. Gemstones
13. Heat tool for embossing
14. Shaker elements

Let's start

CAS One Layer card

  1. I took a white card stock and placed the rangoli stencil on one side of the card.
  2. I added some embossing paste to the stencil.
  3. Once I removed the stencil, I immediately added the sparkle embossing powder and let it dry for about 10 minutes before I heat set it.
  4. By the time it dried, I stamped and coloured the image.
  5. After 10 mins, I heat set the embossing powder.
  6. Using some strong adhesive, I added the image to the card.
  7. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some liquid pearls
(Used rangoli stencil as it has a festive look)

Shaker gift tag

  1. First for this tag, I die cut a lot of circles. One for the base and about 10 more die cuts to stack them up. Then, I also die cut a circle to close the shaker using acetate. I used two sizes of circle die cuts to make 10 circle frames.
  2. I stamped the sentiment on the base and heat embossed with gold powder.
  3. I stamped and coloured a rocket and a lamp.
  4. I used tacky glue and started stacking the die cuts up.
  5. Before adding the last two frame layers, I added the shaker elements and the acetate sheet and twine thread.
  6. I added the last two frame layers and then added the stamped the images to finish the tag.

Spinner card

  1. I took 5.5 x 5.5 inche white cardstock and distress inked the entire cardstock.
  2. Once its dry, I clear embossed the background using rocket image from the stamp set.
  3. I stamped lots of the rocket and coloured them. Then fuzzy cut these rockets and keep them aside.
  4. To make the spinner feature, I die cut 5 rings (like the frame which goes behind the sentiment and it holds the sentiment in place)
  5. One circle die cut to stamp the sentiment.
  6. One larger ring die cut to hold all the rockets.
  7. I place the 5 rings in the middle of the card and added some foam adhesive to the centre.
  8. I carefully place the large ring (it will sit easily around the first set of rings). This large ring works as the spinner
  9. Using strong adhesive, I added the sentiment to the centre.
  10. Since the large ring is protruding out its easy to add the rockets. I used tacky glue to add the rockets and the spinner element works.

Gift enevelope

  1. I used a white cardstock to make this envelope. I distress inked the envelope using abstract stars stencil.
  2. Once the ink was dry, I added gold die cut doily (I cut it into half and added them on each side of the envelope)
  3. I added the sentiment to the center of the envelope and added a gold frame to it.
  4. To finish the card, I added a small lamp and added a red ball chain to the lamp so it looks like its hanging.
  5. I also added some gemstones and rhinestones.

I hope these card were inspirational and fun. Do try them out and also participate in our ongoing challenge.

At Craftyscrappers, we have monthly challenges with different themes and you have a chance to win loads of goodies.

Floral card

Hello everyone,

I am super happy today as I tried a new style in card making. I used some flower stamps for this card along with stencils and some shimmer paste. The shimmer paste has a lot of glitter and sparkle in it once applied.

For this card, I first stenciled using shimmer paste. I let it dry for 5 minutes. Then I added a piece of peach cardstock on one side of the card. I stamped the flower images and fuzzy cut it along with a sentiment. For this card, I did not colour the flower but instead just added some wink-a-stella. To finish the card, I added some stones.

I hope you all liked my card

Tale as old as time

Hello,

My post here for today is a fairy tale theme post where I used stamps from Craftyscrappers (Tale as old as time) - 'beauty and the beast'. This is my all time favorite fairy tale and my favorite disney princess. Belle being my favorite, I ended up buying a dress similar to Belle.

For this card, I used a theme from AAA card challenge where the theme is moonlight and CASology has the theme scary, where it totally links to the beast in the image.

What I did here is, I die cut a circle and added some distress ink to it and added it to the card base as moon. Then I added the stamped and coloured image in the front and some yellow gemstones to the circle die cut to make it look like stars. To finish the card, I added the sentiment.

Encouragement card

Hi there,

This post is all about encouragement for those fighting the most deadliest disease CANCER. I lost my grandmother (breast cancer) and my cousin (leukemia) to this horrible disease. Despite having a medical background, I was unable to take this news. I have seen different cases while studying that includes children.

Calling all sistahs is a part/initiative by CASual Fridays stamps where we can show all our support and encouragement to these fighters. They have challenges where we can make cards according to the theme. This card below is for this challenge #18 at their blog

For this card I used stamps from Altenew.  The Stamp I used here is called Smile More. It has lovely flowers and awesome sentiments. I stamped the flowers and coloured with polychromos and fuzzy cut the flowers and leaves. To follow the sketch for the challenge, I used an old scrap mild yellow colour card stock along with yellow glitter foam sheet (it has adhesive on the back).

I made a tag and added all the stamped images to it and added the sentiment. To finish the card, I assembled all the pieces together and added some liquid pearls.

Challenges:
1. Calling all sistahs - Sketch challenge
2. Addicted to stamps and more - Photo Inspiration (colour yellow)

Please share your kindness and love by participating in the challenge.

Glitter flower card

Hello,

I had some glitter foam sheets while I was clening my craft cupboard and I didnt know what to do with them exactly. That is when I realized that The flower challenge is still going on with the theme add sparkle. I quickly decided to make a CAS card using these sheets. I used only two colours here, green and pink. I loved making this card.

I die cut the flower and leaves from glitter foam sheet. Since these sheets already have adhesive behind them, it made my life easy. I cut the leaves so I could add them on the flower sides too.

Before adding the die cuts together, I light stenciled the background of the card with cream ink and then added these pieces together. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and a half pearl to the center of the card.

I made this tag for 'Less is more' challenge. Here I used stencil from Craftreat (an Indian company which makes lovely stencils, decoupage papers). I inked it using Distress oxide inks and added a sentiment for Thanksgiving. Only for the ornage flower, I did some highlighting using pencils. To the centre of each flower, I added a drop of liquid pearl. To finish the tag, I added the inked piece onto another cardstock which is the main tag and added some green ink on all sides of the tag.

2. Stenciled card

Made this card for CASe this sketch challenge. For this card, I used orange and yellow inks and blended them. Stencil I used here is from Craftreat. I trimmed down the stenciled piece and added it to a white top fold note card. I added the sentiment on top of the stenciled pattern. To finish the card, I added some liquid pearl drops.

3. CAS card

For this card, I made for CAS on sunday challenge where the theme is Fall/Halloween. here, I Used orange and green for the stamps and added the sentiment in the middle of the wreath. Hello everyone,

I am here with a Halloween themed card using stamps from My Favorite Things - Witch way is the candy. It has lovely images and perfect for Halloween theme card.

Its a top fold note card and I coloured the image with colour pencils and trimmed it down. I die cut a circle and inked it with distress ink for a small background (I wanted to keep the background simple as my focus was totally on the images).

I added all the images except for the witch using glue. I added foam adhesive for the witch as I wanted to add some dimension to the image. I kept the cat peeking from behind the pumpkins

Floral card with glitters

Hello,

Today I have 2 cards with floral theme. For the first card, I am using stamps from Craftyscrappers along with MFT stencils and shimmer paste. The card will be a sketch from freshly made sketches and for this I used altenew inks and some flowers cut from DCAM critter sheets.

I am so hooked on to making floral cards these days. I love colouring and experimenting with these images.

Lets start with the first card:

I stamped the image from Craftyscrappers and coloured with pencils. Then I added some wink-a-stella to give shimmer. I used stencil from MFT and I used shimmer paste from Craftyscrappers for stenciling. While the paste is still wet, I added some glitter powder on them for the shimmery look. Then, I trimmed the stenciled piece and added it horizontally. I used strong adhesive to paste the flowers on the stenciled piece. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some rhinestones.

On to my second card:

For this card, I used sketch from Freshly made sketches and colour theme from Cas-ual fridays. I first did some stenciling using Altenew stencils and inks (evening grey). Then I die cut a circle and for the flowers, I added some flowers from DCAM critter sheets. To finish the card, I added the sentiment and some liquid pearls.
