Janmashtami cards

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Today is a special festival for all in India. We are celebrating Janmashtami or Krishna Jayanti, the birth of Lord Krishna. He is the naughtiest kid and hearing his stories while growing up and performing them in my dance performances was absolute fun for me. There are so many songs dedicated to him and today, I have two cards made to celebrate Lord Krishna. For these cards, I am using Krishna stamp setPeacock feathers stencil and dye inks for watercolouring and stenciling.

CARD 1

To start with, I stamped the image on watercolour paper using Lead grey ink
I coloured using Chocolate brown, Emerald green, Tangy orange, Lilac purple dye inks. I fuzzy cut the image and kept it aside.
I took a top fold note card and added a black cardstock. I took another piece of white card and stenciled using peacock feathers stencil with Aqua blue dye ink.
Added the stenciled piece and a vellum sheet to the base and added the image and sentiment to finish the card.

CARD 2

For my next card, I used only the stencil and sentiment from the stamp set.
I used Lead grey dye ink to first stencil on white card stock.
I separately stenciled one feather using Aqua blue ink and highlighted using colour pencils.
I fuzzy cut the feather and added foam adhesive to it and added the sentiment on top of it.
To give more highlight, I used black pen and white gel pen to add some dots.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all enjoyed the card.

I have a super cute card today using The Queen bee for this week's challenge at The Paper shelter challenge blog. I used watercolours and then pencils to do some highlights. I fuzzy cut the image and kept it aside until I made my card base ready. For the card base, I used top fold notecard and layered with pattern paper. I used elements from the same pattern paper and then added the image using foam adhesive and finished with a sentiment and gemstones.

Elf dreams

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

Its Thrifty Thursday time at Stampers delights and I am back with a card using Anime Elf Zora. Isn't this a cute image to make a fun card. After colouring and fuzzy cutting the image, I wanted to create a scene for the card. I had dies from Little birdie which has this Victorian light, fence, grass and small flowers. I decided to use them to make my card. I die cut the pieces from white cardstock and inked them up with different colors. To finish the card, I started layering all the pieces together , added a sentiment and finished with sequins.

Winter flowers

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I decided to make a card with winter colour - blue and mild green.. using Lacy scrolls stamp set along with Ocean waves ink pad and Frayed leaf ink pad. I kept the card real simple and focused on the floral element.

I stamped the flowers with Ocean waves and leaves with frayed leaf. I used my colour pencil to give some highlights to the flowers only. I kept the leaves mild coloured so the focus stays on the flowers. I took a white notecard and black cardstock to the base. I had a rectangle die cut piece and added a gold frame around the die cut. I added the flowers on either side of the frame and a sentiment right in the middle and finished the card with some gemstones.

Floral card using dies

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

This is the first time I am using Fantasy floral 3D die from Altenew along with inks from Altenew. I used a range of inks to colour the die cut pieces and assembled them together. While assembling them, I did offset the die cut pieces so all layers are visible and added all the pieces together to make a card. To add the floral to the card base, I used a frame which I die cut from rectangle die and inked mildly with coral berry ink. I added a sentiment from Frosted garden stamp set on the die cut flower and finished the card with some gem stone.

Inks used:
1. Cool Summer night - Ocean Waves, Dusk (leaves)
2. Red Cosmos - Coral berry (frame)
3. Shades of purple - Soft Lilac, Lavender fields, Deep iris  (flowers)

Summer blooms

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

I am back with another floral card and this time I made it a little different than the usual. When I bought Happy mail from Altenew it was like a regular purchase and I had absolutely no idea if I was gonna use it or not. Or how to use the stamp set in my cards. Finally after years of having it my stash I decided to give it a try by making a card and I call the arrangement as summer bloom. It has all the summer floral colours arranged like half wreath with leaves. I used a die cut for the base and then stacked up the coloured images with just giving dimension to the sunflowers alone. I added the sentiment and gemstones to finish the card.

'Lady' - Shabby chic card

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

As you all know, I make a lot of shabby chic cards these days using pattern paper and element sheets. Its the best way to use element sheet and mix them up with different pattern paper and other embellishments. For today, I have card made using elements from Lady pattern paper from Mintay papers. I was able to get only the element sheet and used them in making a layout and a card. I also made some flowers from cardstock and added them to the card along with some die cuts as well.

Together - card using Julia Spiri image

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog and follow my work on social media.

The image used for today's card is American Indians love. This has become my all time favourite image to colour and I am surprised myself as to how this has turned out. I did not expect the colouring will turn out to be so good. I did keep the card simple so the focus lies on the image.
